ScottishPower Renewables has hailed a major breakthrough in efforts to reduce the costs of offshore wind after the East Anglia ONE project successfully secured a Contract for Difference (CfD) in the completive competitive auction process run by the UK Government.

The offshore wind market has expanded rapidly across northern Europe over the last five years and as a world leader in Renewables, the Iberdrola Group wants to play a significant part in the development of this market.

We have created an offshore business team within ScottishPower Renewables that has responsibility for the development, construction and operation of all international offshore projects for the Group.

Currently our offshore business is focused on the delivery of projects in the UK, German and French markets and we continue to review the development of offshore wind in a number of other countries across the world.
