Installation of electrical equipment |
The converter hall building, control and storage buildings are completed. Installation of electrical equipment is nearing completion and commissioning activities have started. Work is ongoing installing the perimeter fencing. The connection from the converter station to the National Grid will take place this year. |

Duct inspections |
A proving pig will be used to clear any dirt or water from the pre-installed ducts. The process will involve digging down to the duct and pulling the 'pig' through the pipeline to a receiving station. The pig is monitored for obstructions and is removed after being pulled though the duct by a winch. |
