ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) has received a prestigious global award for its efforts to protect the environment and give back to the planet while constructing its flagship East Anglia ONE offshore windfarm

28 June 2022, Glasgow: Primary 7 pupils from Saint Sophia’s Primary School in Galston, East Ayrshire celebrated the end of the school year in style, as they raised the Green Flag Award at ScottishPower Renewables’ Whitelee Windfarm – the largest onshore windfarm in the UK and the first in the world to receive the prestigious accolade.

Local people and places across the UK have now benefited from ScottishPower Renewables community funding to the tune of more than £50 million thanks to the power of wind.

ScottishPower Renewables has successfully trialled an innovative new turbine blade access platform at its Whitelee Windfarm, the largest onshore windfarm in the UK.

Thanks to the BBC, I had the amazing opportunity to go ‘back to school’ today as part of the ‘BBC 100 Share Your Story’ career tour to talk to high school pupils about working in the creative industries and the opportunities that can offer.

It was great to see the industry come together in person for Scottish Renewables’ and RenewableUK’s Floating Offshore Wind Conference.
