ScottishPower and Shell are exploring a new collaboration with the National Energy Skills Accelerator (NESA) to maximise economic and employment opportunities linked to the development of floating offshore windfarms in Scottish waters.

Following their success in the ScotWind Leasing round at the start of the year, ScottishPower and Shell have signed option to lease agreements with Crown Estate Scotland – reserving the seabed rights for their MarramWind and CampionWind floating offshore windfarms.

Successful ScotWind partners, ScottishPower and Shell, are set to invest a total of £75 million to help the supply chain and businesses support the growth of the offshore wind industry in Scotland.
