ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) has selected Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) as the preferred bidder to supply and install some of the world’s most powerful and productive offshore wind turbines for its £6.5 billion East Anglia Hub programme.

Local people and communities across Dumfries and Galloway are benefitting from funding of more than £7 million from ScottishPower Renewables – the leading green energy producer.

The partnership has submitted multiple proposals for new large-scale floating offshore windfarms as part of Crown Estate Scotland’s ScotWind Leasing, which closed for submissions today (16 July).
