Local people and communities across Dumfries and Galloway are benefitting from funding of more than £7 million from ScottishPower Renewables – the leading green energy producer.

The partnership has submitted multiple proposals for new large-scale floating offshore windfarms as part of Crown Estate Scotland’s ScotWind Leasing, which closed for submissions today (16 July).

ScottishPower Renewables has completed construction of a new onshore windfarm in the Scottish Highlands – its first in five years – built specifically to support the green energy needs of supermarket giant, Tesco.
