Benefits The construction of Harestanes Windfarm has created 11 kilometres of new tracks and paths, complimenting those already within the forest. These tracks are open for members of the public for recreational use. Mountain bikers have also benefited, with a new 4 kilometre trail being built on the famous 7stanes cycle route.

Location Located to the north of Harestanes Windfarm, approximately 6 kilometres west of Moffat, 20 kilometres north-west of Lockerbie and 23 kilometres north of Dumfries
Stage Awaiting determination, following the submission of a planning application to the Scottish Government in November 2013
Project History

Our proposal is located on agricultural land and would use the existing Harestanes Windfarm substation, access tracks and operational and maintenance compound, minimising the requirement for the construction of new infrastructure.
