East Anglia Offshore Wind ZE Meteorological Mast Decommissioning Programme

06/11/2025

East Anglia Offshore Wind Limited (EAOW) have received a Section 105 Notice from Secretary of State requiring the production of a high-level Decommissioning Programme in line with relevant international obligations and compliant with UK legislations and associated consultation process.

The East Anglia Offshore Wind ZE Meteorological Mast (2012 Marine Licence) was granted consent on 07 February 2012 for the development of an offshore windfarm Meteorological Mast.

The purpose of the Decommissioning Programme is to provide preliminary information on the methods and approaches to how the offshore components will be decommissioned at the end of the operational lifetime of the Project.

The Section 105 Notice requires EAOW to carry out consultation before submitting the Decommissioning Programme to the Secretary of State. This includes carrying out consultation with prescribed bodies and making the proposals publicly available for at least 28 days in order to obtain feedback on the draft Decommissioning Programme.

Therefore, in accordance with the Section 105 Notice, the draft Decommissioning Programme is available to view here.

Any enquiries on the documents can be sent to EAOW by email on eaow@scottishpower.com.

The Decommissioning Programme will provide a summary table of the comments and actions taken following receipt and consideration of the consultation responses. Please note that any responses received by EAOW will be handled in compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and published with all personal information removed.

The deadline for the receipt of representations is 11.59pm, 11th December 25.
