Beinn an Tuirc Windfarm

Located on the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Beinn an Tuirc Windfarm is a ScottishPower Renewables onshore wind project capable of generating up to 30 megawatts of cleaner, greener energy.

Construction on the 45 Vestas turbines was completed in late 2001.

Beinn an Tuirc Phase 2

Construction on an extension to the operating Beinn an Tuirc Windfarm is now complete, increasing the total number of turbines onsite to 64, with a total generating capacity of up to 68 megawatts.
