Because of ScottishPower Renewables' leading position as largest onshore windfarm developer in the United Kingdom we are able to conduct innovative ecological research which will inform industry best practice and in so doing deliver wide scale environmental benefits throughout the UK. In particular, research projects include the restoration of blanket bog habitats after deforestation and the interaction of hen harriers and golden eagles with windfarm.
